Pure Ingredients: Know What's In Your Cup

The Pure & Easy Tea Ingredient Library explores the teas, herbs, roots, fruits, flowers, spices and botanicals used throughout our blends — the pure ingredients behind every cup we sell.

Each ingredient page helps you understand what the ingredient is, where it comes from, how it tastes, how it has traditionally been used, relevant research where appropriate, and which Pure & Easy Tea blends contain it. For botanicals with a real body of published research — like chamomile, valerian, or ginkgo — we link out to recognized sources such as the NIH’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health rather than asserting a wellness claim ourselves.

Ingredient transparency should go beyond the label. Our goal is to help you understand what is in your cup — and why it is there.

Most tea labels list ingredients but stop there — no origin, no context, no explanation of why something’s in the blend. The FDA has never issued a formal legal definition of “natural” for food labeling, which is part of why we built this pure ingredients library instead of just printing a longer ingredient list: a name on a label doesn’t tell you much on its own. If you want to see how this shows up in a finished blend rather than one ingredient at a time, our purity standards page and brewing guide are good places to start.
