I grabbed this one because I wanted a chai that actually felt like chai instead of just tasting like burnt sugar, and the minute I opened the bag the whole kitchen smelled incredible — like spices actually exist in there. Every morning now I’m brewing a cup and catching that robust mix of citrus and warmth filling the house, and honestly it kind of smells like waffles are cooking even though there’s nothing in the pot but tea. The Assam backbone is so solid it doesn’t need anything else propping it up, just lets all those spices do what they’re supposed to do without any of them drowning each other out.
